Meanwhile, the policies outlined in our statement below remain in force, as we maintain a safe working environment for our people, our customers and our supply chain.
These are testing times for us all, but CMP continues to be resolutely open for business; and here to support our customers through the challenges that we face during this pandemic and beyond.

COVID-19 Message to Customers
Friday, 20 March 2020
Dear Customers,
I am sure that everyone will have a great deal of anxiety over the ever-changing dynamics brought about by COVID 19 and is no-doubt wondering what CMP is doing to safeguard the health of our employees, customers and supply chain; as well as the steps that have been taken to keep our business moving forward to the satisfaction of all of our customers around the globe.
CMP has assembled a task force consisting of senior managers, who communicate each day regarding the constantly evolving situation as it affects us globally, regionally, locally and at our three factories in the county of Northumberland; one of the largest and least-populated areas of the United Kingdom.
We continue to follow the advice of Public Health England and have taken every precaution possible to safeguard our workforce. This includes a very strict hygiene regime and employing a self-distancing policy within the work place, which has all employees working at a distance of three metres from each other.
As part of our business continuity plan, a proportion of our office staff are now working from home, and are able to carry out their role thanks to the capabilities of our IT business system. As part of our risk management system we have further contingency plans in place to deploy more of our operational staff at home with all the necessary equipment to carry out their working role should this be needed.
We are in constant communication with our world-class supply chain, ensuring we maintain significant raw material stock of brass, aluminum and stainless steel. Having maintained a 25-year business relationship with our strategic supplier, they are exceeding our expectations and are focusing on building stock for CMP in the UK, as we target maintaining a three-month supply. We also have offices and warehouses in six continents with large investments in finished product.
As of today, all parts of our business are operating at full strength and we expect to achieve our short term sales forecast. Our core values drive this business and we are all motivated to supporting our customers. We show urgency to get results and teamwork to solve difficult problems – and above all, we are constantly creating innovate solutions to the ever-changing conditions. Our customer service team and regional offices globally are there to help you at all times via phone, email or video-conferencing.
Providing there are no major governmental policy changes in the UK or overseas that are outside of our control and by which we have to abide; we are open for business globally, ready to face the challenges that coronavirus throws at us – and we will do all we can to help.
Please keep up-to-date by re-visiting our website for details. You can find out more about our operations and processes in the video below.
In the meantime, our thoughts are with you. Please keep safe during these unprecedented times and if we work together we will prevail.
Regards,
Vince Patterson, Chief Executive Office
